Simple steps to clear a blocked nose without medication

I used to suffer from a blocked nose because I have an allergy. After I knew how to deal with it, my nose condition became much better.


Waking up with a clear nose boosts our quality of life.


There are a bunch of medications for a blocked nose in the world. But as I often say, it is much better not to use medication when possible. Are there any ways to clear a blocked nose without taking medication?


Yes, there are.


I found those foods and acupuncture points to work. It's easy and we can do it with low costs. Try it!


Foods


1. Grated Garlic (raw)

You may feel raw garlic tastes too strong. Start with a little portion. You can mix it with dressing for salad. The salad becomes yummy too.

You can blend garlic into green juice, which I often do, but it tastes a bit spicy.

Heated garlic doesn’t work so well for a blocked nose.

Garlic contains diallyl sulfide, which has a lot of health benefits. Diallyl sulfide is sensitive to heat. Grating it is the best way to take the benefits from it.




2. Leek (raw)

Leeks also contain diallyl sulfide. Cut it into small pieces and eat it raw. Leek is known as a food that makes us warm.

In Japan, we usually put it on tofu, noodles, or ramen.




3. Green juice

Green juice is an almighty healthy item. My nose is clear the next day I have a green juice.

Please add kale to the juice. It is a must. Other vegetables and fruits you can put are some apple, carrot, and turmeric (and garlic as well if you don’t mind the taste.) Use whatever vegetables and fruits you like. You put all the materials into a blender and add some water. That’s it.




Acupuncture points


There are spots I press when I have a blocked nose. The spots are called “Geiko (迎香)” in Japanese, Ying xiang in Chinese. "Geiko" means welcome fragrance.

Press these spots with stars below with your fingers.


Those things work for me. There is no harm in doing those when you have a blocked nose. And I am sure those will help you raise your health level overall, so try them out!
