Just eat! No need to cook. 12 immune-boosting foods

Why do some people get Covid, but some don’t while both of them eat similar foods and breathe in the same place?

Even in the same family, one gets Covid, but others don’t. Sometimes young people get Covid and elderly people don't.

One of the answers could be immunity. Each person has a different level of immunity even though they are around the same age. Because our immunity is invisible, it looks mysterious.

Today I would like to introduce 12 foods that boost your immunity that I found in the book “Immune Booster Recipes” by NHK Publishing.

Just eat! No need to cook. Foods that boost our immunity

1. Yogurt

2. Carrot juice (Ready-made packed one or you can make it on your own)

We can make carrot juice on our own by using a blender.

Ingredients (1-2 servings): 1 carrot, 1 apple, water 100-150 cc

Cut the carrot and apple into small pieces and put them in a blender. Add water and blend.

3. Orange

4. Banana

5. Almond

6. Kiwi fruit

7. Dried persimmon

Peel persimmons and hang them under the eaves for 2 weeks or so. It is very sweet.

8. Green tea

9. Japanese yam

My favorite food in my childhood. Usually, we grind and eat it raw with soy sauce. The stickiness keeps the moisture of the mucus membrane, protecting us from viruses.

10. Mozuku

Mozuku is a kind of seaweed.

The sliminess activates immune cells and raises the power of resistance.

11. Kimchi

Korean pickles

12. Natto

Natto is fermented soybeans.

Yogurt, kimchi, and natto are fermented food.

Fermented foods improve our gut environment. About 60% of immune cells are in our gut. So improving our gut environment leads us to strengthen our immunity.

One more IMPORTANT thing to keep high immunity

This is the most important thing actually because if we don’t do this, all the foods above don’t work. That is to live our daily life with gratitude. We all can do this quickly if we are willing to do it. This is the most effective immune booster!

When we feel gratitude, our immunity surges. During the course of life, we encounter challenges but when we believe there are no problems we cannot solve, and when we enjoy the journey, our immunity will stay high.
