How I fixed my physical issue without medicine overnight

I was in a hotel room in Prague. It was a really fun trip with my friend. I was having a great time, but I had an issue.



I hadn’t had a passage for a few days already…


When I go on a trip, I sometimes experience constipation and I don’t like it. Well, nobody likes it. I didn’t know why I had this experience.


In the Prague hotel, a good idea came to my mind. I could try a foot massage.

I brought a massage stick with me. I pressed on a certain part of my feet with the stick intensely for about 15 minutes on each foot and then slept.


The next morning, it was fixed!


Isn’t it great if we can cure our sickness without medicine? Yes, we have the power inside!


If I had taken constipation medicine, it probably would have worked too. But it is better not to use medicine whenever possible because every medicine has side effects whether they are big or small.


Today I would like to talk about how to improve our body condition without taking medicine.



Try Japanese Shiatsu Massage


Shiatsu means finger pressure.

Shiatsu massage is very simple. It is just to press on certain body parts, which we call “tsubo,” i.e. acupuncture points, with fingers. You can do it wherever you are.


The part I pressed when I got constipated was here (red circle).




There are a lot of acupuncture points on our soles. Press on them with your thumbs. You can use a stick when you are okay with stronger pressure.






“Tsumemomi” -- shiatsu massage on the bottom corners of nails.


This massage is popular in Japan. There are a lot of books published about it.

Tsumemomi is to massage around the bottom corners of your nails. There are acupuncture points there. Massaging these parts tunes our autonomic nervous system.








How do we do it?

Just press on the parts marked with red with your thumb and index finger of the other hand for about 10 seconds each. Do it three times a day. It is easy and we can do it anywhere.


You can do it for your toe fingers as well.


Massaging on ring fingers can stimulate the sympathetic nervous system, so when you want to relax, best to avoid massaging there.



--A few things to take note of--

If you are pregnant, better not do these massages.

Don’t do it just after a meal. Do it at least one hour after a meal.

Drink water after the massage.


A few years later, I also learned dehydration also causes constipation. When we travel, we don't drink enough water because we are afraid of not finding a toilet. But hydration is also important to keep you healthy.
