One of my aunts gave me a tip to spend a day with comfort.
She told me to wear underwear made of natural fibers.
I don’t know if there were any scientific reasons why she said that, but I instinctively believed she was right. Since then I have been choosing underwear with natural fibers as much as I can.
My instinct knew that being close to nature is valuable for human being. Here is the power of natural fibers.
Natural fibers absorb toxin inside our body
This is from Dr. Yoshiharu Shindo’s book, where he said
“Silk and cotton absorb toxin. Hemp as well.” Dr. Shindo is a founder of Hietori (Chill-removing) Method. He said chill and overeating are the original cause of illness. He said our toxin is coming out as sweat and natural fivers absorb more toxin than synthetic fibers.
Silk socks
I warm my feet always by wearing silk five-toed socks. Warming our feet is critical to keep us healthy, according to Dr. Shindo.

“Soles are directly connected to organs, where sweat glands are most developed, and where a lot of toxin generated by chill, overeating and circulation problem comes out,” said Dr. Shindo.
Silk socks are good for two reasons ― heat retention and absorbency of toxin.
I wear multiple socks even in Singapore, a tropical country. Silk socks are the first to put on, i.e., silk socks are directly touching my skin. Then I put on cotton or wool socks. Silk socks absorb toxin inside our body better than other materials, according to Dr. Shindo.
My friend, who got cervical cancer said her socks always got holds in her silk socks, where woman’s organs are reflected in her feet. This is because toxin is coming out more actively from some parts in our feet which are reflecting certain parts of our organs.
